The Buckleys officially formed as a group in 2011 when on a family holiday at the Tamworth Country Music festival. Jamming on Peel street, they were notified the following day that they had made the top 10 in the Tamworth Country Music Festival busking competition (not knowing they were in any competition!), with over 600 acts competing. They were invited to perform on the main stage to some thousands of people the next day.

Prolific songwriters, collectively they have written well over one hundred songs both on their own and in US co-writes. Sarah Grace was awarded top 5 in the 2014 American Song writing Awards (in association with Gwen Stefani) teen section and the following year both Sarah and Molly were once again nominated for a prestigious ASA Award.

Sarah’s song ‘Strawberry Footprints’ was recently recorded by and featured on the multi-award winning, Country Music Hall of Fame member, Felicity Urquhart’s latest album ‘Frozen Rabbit’ which charted #2 on the Official Australian ARIA Country Chart.

The Buckleys continue to impress audiences with honest storytelling and song writing combined with a fresh, dynamic and exciting blend of musical influences that capture their youthful and electrifying energy both on stage and in the recording studio.
