Hometown Fest is set to hit Brisbane in November 2019.
A two-day musical experience that hasn’t been seen in Australia before, the event will showcase live music and entertainment across three free daily stages and then dip into an international pool of talent for a ticketed arena show each evening, featuring some of the world’s biggest names in music.
The team at Hometown Fest are passionate about providing Australia with an unforgettable and unique experience. Hometown Fest is a music festival for the fans; it will include artist signings, pop-ups, surprise guests, competitions and opportunities to win money-can’t-buy experiences.
Hometown Fest is a mix of contemporary country, pop and rock; a music festival with a difference. While we respect the classic music festivals that have come before us, we’re passionate about alternate and contemporary sounds that transcend genre stereotypes. Emphasising the genre crossover that country music, in particular, has taken into the realms of pop, rock, rnb and more. Hometown Fest music and artists will be as diverse as Australia’s music fans, and whether you’re a classic ‘Slim Dusty’ country music fan or an ‘Early-days Taylor Swiftie’, there will an act that appeals to you.

Hometown Fest is designed to be a celebration of all things Australian and uniquely Queensland. Free day time events will focus on up-and-coming music artists. Food and market stalls will support Australia’s local farmers, producers and creators. Hometown Fest will be promoting and supporting Australia’s country way of life wherever possible! Our atmosphere a mixture of Australian spirit, country pride, community and family.
Another key component of Hometown Fest that is very important to our team is sustainability, which is why our event will be paperless and cashless. Attendees will use either a prepaid card or app to pay for all of their food, beverages and purchases at the event (resulting in much faster drink lines!).

A: Hometown Fest is a new 2-day festival experience that is launching in November 2019. During the day, we will feature free live music and entertainment and in the evening there will be a ticketed arena show with international headline acts. A: Hometown Fest audiences can expect a carefully curated mix of country, alt-country, rock and pop genres with many of our artists being mixed genres.
A: Hometown Fest will be taking place at Brisbane’s RNA Showgrounds on November 23rd and 24th 2019. This event will not be touring.
A: Yes! Both our free day-time events and our evening shows are all-ages, however children under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult. There will be licensed child-free zones where alcohol is being served and patrons will require proof of age to access these areas. All attendees of the evening shows will require their own ticket regardless of age, including babes in arms.
A: Our lips are sealed (for now)! We will be announcing headline acts early 2019 – subscribe to our newsletters to be the first to find out who will be playing at Hometown Fest.
A: Tickets will be sold online via our ticketing partner. We will announce ticket sales and dates early 2019, but you can subscribe to our mailing list to get access to early bird tickets when they become available.
A: Yes, you will need to register for a ticket to attend our free day time event. Details for registration will be provided closer to the event date.
A: Yes, branded merchandise will be available to purchase in the lead up to the event as well as at the event on the day.
A: Yes, our sister brand Music Tracks Travel will have a number of travel packages available including tickets, accommodation, transfers and more. These will be announced closer to the ticket sales date.
